I remember City of Glass being my favorite book in the series. Some of my favorite characters are introduced. Jason is right about a lot of adults not being likable though. It's one of the things I've always found really strange about the series... Honestly, aside from the teenagers, I've only ever liked Luke and Magnus.
Jason wrote: "Same here Luke and Magnus, and cos I am evil I quite liked camilla"Oh, I remember her! She was pretty cool too.
I really hated Jocelyn throughout the entire series. I feel she made a lot of stupid decisions and judgments.
Nope, didn't like any of the fairies as they always seem to be hiding something.Simon is still hanging around because of love, you do silly things for love.
Too long ago to notice the page 525 mistake.Glad that I'm not the only one who thought this should have been a trilogy. The other books are still good but it should have been left alone.
The series was actually supposed to end after City of Glass. The rest of the books after it are really just money makers. I especially hated the last book, mostly because of how HUGE it is. I don’t know how they convinced Clare to keep going. Or how she had the willpower. x) I mean, City of Heavenly Fire is a BIG BOOK.(Sorry for the rant.)
P.S. I missed the bikes too. It was pretty Harry Potter-esque but it was a cool escape scene.
No need to apologise for the rant, this last book is the only one of the series I haven't enjoyed. I'm in the last third of the book now and finally something interesting is starting to happen.
800 sounds about right, but I'm in bed and not feeling well enough to check my bookshelf. x)I like the last three books in a way because I still liked the characters but they were a lot less enjoyable to read. I hooe you like them though, Ashleigh! Not trying to be discouraging or anything. :P
She's a joy to read. I've always been really jealous of her writing style. Plus she never stops writing. I can't keep with all the books she publishes.I don't know if I've mentioned this but have you heard of the TMI show that's in development?
This deserves a series, the scale of the series is too big for a movie, I think that's why it failed big time.
I honestly think they could have pulled off the movie but I'm cool with a TV show too. I really hope they stick to the plot, but honestly, as long as they stay true to the atmosphere of TMI I think I'll enjoy it.
I read a little bit of the first book before I got bored with it and it felt like it was written for a movie, TMI feels too dense, they had to cut so much out to make a movie that it ended up not making much sense, I had to keep explaining stuff to my wife who hadn't read the book.
I feel like the movie could've been done, but was just done poorly. Either way, a TV show is still a great opportunity to make up for it.Have you guys seen any of the cast yet?

Clary: Kat McNamara
Simon: Alberto Rosende
Isabelle: Emeraude Toubia
Alec: Matthew Daddario
Luke: Isai..."
That sounds like everyone. Is someone missing...?
Oh yeah. What about Alec and Isabelle's parents? Raphael? Sebastian, if he makes an appearance? Am I missing someone?

Inquisitor Aldertree is very dislikable, a lot of the adults in this series are.
