Not started this one yet, trying to psych myself up to reading it, I lost interest a bit at the end of the last book. I have this one down to complete my book cover challenge so it will probably be read in the next few books.

It would have been awesome as a trilogy. The books after have been good reads but it has had plenty of opportunity to end and she has just dragged it out. A bit like the vampire diaries TV series, it should have ended when it had the chance.
Nearly there, at 90% now. Feeling pretty worn out after making it to the end of the series. So far this is the weakest of the books, very boring until around 70% when everything all comes together.
yay finished. for me the weakest book from the series, would have been good if it was much shorter.next up finish off the Bane books.
I agree Jason. Tell me how you like the Bane Chronicles when you read it! I just finished Catcher in the Rye and I'm about to start Iron Trial by Cassandra Clare (and Holly Black). My first book by her in a while. :3
Holly black is a very good author. I have done a few of the bane books and they were slow to start but I enjoyed them, I also liked the reference to the book in the city of heavenly fire. Nice touch.
I've only heard of Holly Black. I've never read anything by her, but now I'm excited to.There was a reference to the Bane books in CoHF?
Jason wrote: "She is very good, I'll send you a recommendation. Her fairy trilogy is good."Thanks! I'm still a little new to Goodreads. How do I check my recommendations?
The Iron Trials are great, by the way. So far. I can tell what parts of the writing aren't very Cassandra Clare-ish and I think I would like Holly's writing style. Maybe I'm wrong, but she sort of remind me of JK Rowling's writing style.
I use the website and you click on the recommendations tab and in there is a section on that page called recommended to you. If you use the app then I have no idea how to get to your recommendations.
I added Tithe to me to read list. The cover looks familiar. Maybe I am a little familiar with Holly Black. I don't know anymore. xPThe app's pretty bad haha.
We got way off topic. x)
Yeah really dragged on a bit, the thing I hated most was it all ended and then it still went on for another 100 odd pages.
