We are officially a week away from starting our new challenge! This challenge is to read the book that has been on your TBR the longest. We all have that one book that gives you the side eye every time you come home with more books. Let's show that book some love! And what better month to do so than Valentine's month? 😉

For me, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by my one and only Valentine Stephen King. I have owned this book since I was in high school. In fact, this was my very first King book... I just never got around to reading it lol.

I'm excited to see which books you guys have been neglecting!

Just as a quick reminder, February 8th is our first book club night! BYOB🍺/BYOW🌿. I will have finger foods/snacks for everyone but if you would like to bring a snack for everyone, that is very much appreciated as well. See you guys then!

Ashley | 6 comments I'm excited about book club night!!!!

I will be reading The Fellowship of the Ring, which has been on my TBR for 23 years. my dad has read the series twice, and my brother has once. It's my turn 🤪

Ani | 10 comments Let me know how you like that book Ashley. Those books look so interesting to me but I never really got into fantasy. And there's so many Tolkien!

Sooo, for February I'm reading something that I think I'll absolutely hate! It's called Race Across the Sky by Derek Sherman. I don't even remember buying this book but it's been sitting there on my shelf all dusty for years! And the title is a LITERAL description. A novel about running in the mountains. That's it! Pray for me....

Can't wait for our first book club night though! I can bring snacks. Most likely cheese and crackers cuz that's what I like. 😋

Naila Flores | 18 comments Hello... So I've decided to read Out of Body by Thomas Baum. I've had it since high school. I think I checked it out from the school library and just never returned it 😂 so yeah, I've had it since 2005 or somewhere around that year.

I'm excited about the book club too. I can also bring snacks. Just let me know what you all like. cheese and crackers sound really good, Ani. I can make mini tres leches cakes, too.

Marissa | 10 comments Hello! I'm excited to see everyone next weekend! For the February challenge, i'm reading Kindred by Octavia Butler. I picked this up from my high school library and also never returned it 😂 But i've always thought the concept of the book was interesting!
And I'll bring some cupcakes from Bakehouse 46, their buttercream frosting is so good! But they have a changing menu, so I'll send it to Vicky next week and everyone can pick what they want!
