Place your nominations for the book poll here. The 2 books with the most nominations and seconds will be placed on the monthly poll.
Here are the current guidelines:

- Book is by an author of color
- Book must be at least six months after publication date
- Is available in libraries (this is easy to check in GR – check click on library on the book page.
- A sentence on why you are nominating the book is appreciated
- Indicate if you would be willing to moderate/co-moderate the discussion of the book you suggest/nominate

Please take a look and click this link to see if a book you are nominating has already been discussed by the group. Thanks

a.g.e. montagner (agem) | 42 comments I'm afraid the link doesn't work.
Not a big problem if the list is the same as the group shelf.

I'd like to nominate The Skin Between Us: a Memoir of Race, Beauty, and Belonging by Kym Ragusa.

Yikes! I hate when that happens. I just replaced it with a good one. Thanks!

Also, only fiction titles are accepted for the poll. But thanks for the book rec. I hadn’t heard of that one. 👍🏾

a.g.e. montagner (agem) | 42 comments I received the Italian edition as a present (La pelle che ci separa) and I've wanted to read it forever.

So many great options have already been read by the group. I'll try with Rivers Solomon: my preference would be for The Deep for the Drexciya connection, but otherwise any other of his novels.

Nice! Trying to decide if I prefer the Italian cover to the American one. Hmm. I typically prefer the UK covers to the American cover about 90% of the time. I’m kinda torn with this one. Your preference?

Oh, and I second the nomination for The Deep. I’ve never read anything by Rivers Solomon before.
