I just walked by a Free Little Library and it had hard covers for both book 2 and book 3!! I swapped with a few of my older books. I’m so excited to re-read this series. All I need know is book 1 LOL
So I feel like to movie should have taken more of the things from the book, like Katniss becoming dead in one ear and Peeta losing his leg. But also those small details like the rain/storm and the scene where Cato sits by Cloves dead body after she screams for him.
Like Cloves death is, I can’t say boring but after reading the book I realised how much better it could be. And fire some Cato and Clove is looked at as bad people but they really cared for each other and for them they had Ben teached from a young age that winning the hunger games is the biggest thing that could happen
I know! Everyone talks about Everlark (which they should, I love them,), but Cato and Clove were legit in love!
Yeah, exactly, and I felt like that seen really showed Cato's humanity. Like, he's not just the antagonist who's like this evil person, yk? And there are at least some people he cares about.

Don't get me started on Cato and Glimmer's flirty thing going on in the movie. And just... movie Glimmer in general.
I wish we had seen some of his family on The Victory Tour. It would have been interesting to see how they reacted to Katniss and Peeta.
I couldn’t agree more. They are shown as really bad people in the movie but in the books they are the actual star crossed lovers from distict 2

Cato and Clove is such a cute (and tragic) ship
I wish we had gotten background info on all the tributes
I loved Cato, Clove and Thresh.
I think that the tributes are so interesting because at first we think that they are evil, but they are victims too
I've actually been thinking about that a lot lately. About how they have to become mentors and teach people how to kill others. They may even bond with them (like Finnick and Mags or Slaymitch and Everlark) only to watch them die or have trauma. It's so sad and cruel.
(So you know how in Sunrise on the Reaping the gamemakers put clues about the arena in training) I want to go back and rewatch the movies to see if the games makers put clues about the arena!!! What do y'all think?
