This was a gentle, easily read novella. It was exactly what I needed during a stressful beginning to the new year. I enjoyed the alien world building. The ecologically conscious Panga seemed healthy and pleasant. Despite its brevity, this is a meandering little story. I was a bit frustrated with the gender neutral Dex who works so hard to feel satisfied with life while combating their inexplicable depression. The story becomes more interesting with the arrival of the robot. I’m looking forward to their further adventures.
