Jenifer | 53 comments I am thinking about getting a Kindle. Which Kindle should I get and why? I would like to download other apps on it. Pros and cons to different Kindles?

Tammie P ℓօรƭเɳαɓօօҡ (reading_and_breathing) I like the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. It ranks high on every list where the Kindle is tested and reviewed. According to Tom's Guide, it's the luxury model of the best- e-reader on the market, so you enjoy premium features like limited waterproofing and adjustable screen warmth for a more comfortable reading experience. But if you'd like to spend a little less and don't need those extra features, the basic Amazon Kindle is a great value, especially if you don't mind putting up with the lock screen ads. Conversely, if you don't mind paying more, the Kindle Colorsoft has all the features of the Paperwhite Signature Edition, with the bonus of a color display.

I've inserted a link that I think can help. See below:

Just an FYI:
The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition displays everything in black and white, even book covers.

Many tech sites do objective comparisons of all Kindles.
