Locally self- or museum-published histories. You get a lot of local passion and pride, with their own hiccups and hangups.Small bookstores with "local authors" displays like Volume One or Monroe books on Vancouver Island.
I don' know enough about the publishing industry to have favourites, but I should probably figure that out.
I hate that even the safety of comfort hobbies and escapism is being intruded upon by economic imperialism on a whole new level.
