He did direct some good films, including one of the best Lincoln films. His versions of Tom Sawyer, and Of Human Bondage were good as well.I believe one of his relatives is in the film business too. Hahahaha! 😹
If I'm not mistaken, he also directed Caged (1950) with Eleanor Parker in a really different role for her. And the ending was terrific.
'Caged' was on just last night on TCM. I only saw part of it. Eleanor Parker looked so young.
