Anyone can nominate as many books as you'd like and look for a buddy! Any book that gets two nominations or more will have a buddy thread created for discussion during March. Please decide your start date and reading pace/reading goals in this thread. Once that has been decided, the mods will create a Buddy Read Discussion thread for that title. Reading the Buddy Read Guidelines is strongly recommended. There is no promise that you will have a buddy read for your nomination(s).

@Bopeep I've been meaning to read prayer for the crown-shy! I wouldn't mind rereading psalm too for a refresher!

message 8: by Juliane (new)

Juliane | 398 comments Anushka wrote: "Sunrise on the Reaping (Hunger Games 0.5)?"

I have every intention of reading Sunrise on the Reaping in March as well but would you be willing for a buddy read to wait till the end of March? The estimated delivery date for my book has unfortunately recently been pushed back to March 27, which could mean anytime after publication probably 😅
However I would completely understand if that wait is too long.

message 9: by Anushka (new)

Anushka Malik (_anushkamalik) | 563 comments @Juliane if you get it on March 27, let's read it from April 1st instead? I'll find something else for March.

Bopeep (bopip) | 1089 comments @Sai @Prayer for the crown-shy

Yay, perfect! I loved psalm, so I was planning on rereading it too haha!
We can read Psalm from March 8 to 10 and Crown from 11 to 14? Or is it too fast? (I'm super hyped haha!)

I’m interested in Babel! :) I think I’ll need it to be a bit more spaced out though due to work.

Sword Catcher in anticipation for the release of The Ragpicker King!

Throne of Glass
A Court of Silver Flames

Sarah-Vanessa | 661 comments @Priya
We can do Babel and time it so as it works for you. It doesn’t matter too much for me how we schedule it. I just want to finish it by end of March as it’s a book for a challenge here.

I‘d be up to read Throne of Glass and A Court of Silver Flames but maybe in April? As I have some other challenge based reads planned for March, so as I can finish the challenges successfully *lol*

Maybe @Brianna would be in for A Court of Silver Flames in April, as we’ve been buddy reading together the whole season.

Yes April 1st works for me, thanks for waiting. If it unexpectedly does arrive distinctly earlier I can still send a message here to see if we want to start anything before that date.

March 8th: Chapters 1-5
March 9th: Chapters 6-10
March 10th: Chapters 11-15
March 11th: Chapters 16-20
March 12th: Chapters 21 - 25

I know it's considered to be #3.5 and looks to be under 300 pages so closer to a novella than the other books in the series. lol If we can do like mid-month that would be best for me?

message 28: by Sarah-Vanessa (new)

Sarah-Vanessa | 661 comments @Brianna or in other words Sara J. Maas approach of a novella. I think I‘ll handle it. Mid month works for me.

@Priya @Anushka Does anyone of you have a physical copy to make the schedule? I only have the audio book.

Definitely a Sarah J Maas take on a novella - lol
My paperback copy is 229 pages and 28 chapters. How many days would you like it split up between?

message 31: by Sarah-Vanessa (new)

Sarah-Vanessa | 661 comments @Brianna How about 5 up to maximum 7 days?

The threads have been made. When you decide on the scedules, or if you have in mind the amount of days you'll be reading the book, post the schedule or the number of chapters for your book here.

*Both of the Becky Chambers books are in one thread.

I have my kindle and I think it depends on how many days we want to spend on it. An online guide has it separated into this:

Book I: Chapters 1 - 2
Book I: Chapters 3 - 4
Book II: Chapters 5 - 8
Book II: Chapters 9 - 12
Book III: Chapters 13 - Interlude
Book III: Chapters 16 - 18
Book IV: Chapters 19 - 21
Book IV: Chapters 22 - 25
Book V: Interlude - Chapter 28
Book V: Chapter 29 - Epilogue

But I feel like some days have a lot more reading. Let me know if you want it changed! Also, which half of the month works for you guys?

Sarah-Vanessa | 661 comments @Priya The schedule works for me, thank you. All the weeks work for me,mabe except the one from 8th to 14th as I‘m doing another Buddy Read that week and I probably can’t handle 2.

message 36: by Ayush (new)

Ayush (ayushraj) | 3 comments I had started reading Les Miserables: (Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition) By: Hugo, Victor February, 2015 by Victor Hugo in 2024. But due to some reasons, I stopped reading it after I reached 150 pages. It was more due to lack of time but now I am willing to embark on that journey again and it will be great if some people can read it, discuss it with me.

Since it's a vast book, I am not sure if it can be finished in less than 2 months at least but we can plan accordingly.

Brianna C | 1355 comments Sarah-Vanessa wrote: "@Brianna How about 5 up to maximum 7 days?"

re: A Court of Frost and Starlight

Here is a schedule based on 7 days and approximately 32 pages/day:

chapters 1 - 3
chapters 4 - 6
chapters 7 - 11
chapters 12 - 14
chapters 15 - 17
chapters 18 - 21
chapters 22 - 28

Should we start on the 15th so the 15th - 21st? Or would you like to coordinate it with the readathon dates which currently look like will be the 8th-14th?

message 38: by Sarah-Vanessa (new)

Sarah-Vanessa | 661 comments @Brianna thank you for the schedule. We can doit during the readathlon week.
