Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife is the US title. The UK title is Six Feet Over: Science Tackles the Afterlife but they are the same book. It really confused me so I thought I would clear it up for you.

Mary Roach tries to take a scientific look at the belief of the afterlife, looking at beliefs, medical theories, and even taking fortune telling classes.

I found the book interesting and due to personal beliefs, uncomfortable at parts. Her book does not bash religion or personal beliefs though Roach does display strong skepticism and does point out some ridiculous theories such as previously held medical theories that have proven to be false.

As all of the Roach's books, it's a fun read.
