For anyone who needs to know this and hasn’t heard - as of 26 Feb, you will no longer be able to save your Kindle purchases to your PC via the Download & Transfer option. That is, you will only be able to access your purchases directly from the cloud.

It may not be an issue for most people, but if you manage your own eLibrary content, you might want to get in there to protect your purchases while you can.

It just means you will no longer have the option to maintain a backup copy of the books purchased from Amazon.

I have experienced issues with downloading books bought via the cloud, namely I was unable to anecdote sentences to use in notes for reviews (partly why I am so far behind in reviews). This does benefit the reader or author.
