With St Patrick's day around the corner I thought we could take a tour of Ireland home to St Patrick.

Ireland Tour
Duration: March 1, 2025 - May 31, 2025

Do one task for each place.

TASKS

1. Dublin
There’s a good chance you’ll start your Irish adventure in Dublin, home to Dublin Castle, Trinity College Dublin, the National Museum of Ireland, and the Guinness Storehouse. It’s a walkable city, so you’ll be able to explore most of it in just a day or two. For an extra dose of history and a drink, of course, make your way to The Brazen Head, the oldest pub in Dublin.
☘️ Read a book set at a college or where a character goes for a walk or where the authors initials can be found in DUBLIN.

2. Galway
The bohemian atmosphere and lively arts scene are two reasons you’ll want to visit the harbor city during your journey. Unlike Dublin, where you may feel the need to see as much as possible, Galway is a bit more low-key. Travelers can stroll through cobblestone streets, savor traditional music in local pubs, and experience the enchanting landscapes of Connemara that surround this charismatic city.
☘️ Read a book set in a coastal town or tagged as music or where the first letter of each title word can be found in GALWAY. ( Two word minimum).

3. Kinsale / Old Head of Kinsale
In Kinsale, there are beautiful views of the harbor. If it’s a nice day, stretch your legs along the 3.7-mile Scilly Walk before heading to Bulman Bar & Restaurant for dinner. The Old Head of Kinsale has a “world-class golf course on many golfer's lists. It’s only about a 20-minute drive from the town, but it stands alone as its own destination.
☘️ Read a book where a character plays golf or a book which is number 20 in a series or where a character goes out for dinner.

4. Cliffs of Moher
Towering over the Atlantic Ocean, the cliffs offer panoramic views that are both exhilarating and serene. Plus the surrounding landscape is equally impressive, with unique and precious wildlife and natural flora and fauna.
☘️ Read a book with cliffs or mountains on the cover or where a character is described as serene or calm or where the authors initials can be found in MOHER.

5. Iveragh Peninsula
The Iveragh Peninsula is a stunning stretch of heritage in southwestern Ireland that offers a picturesque escape into nature’s awaiting embrace. Many travelers choose to explore the area via the Ring of Kerry, the scenic drive that encircles the peninsula. The route’s popularity stems from the fact that the 111-mile journey is accented by incredible landscapes, small villages, and top-tier views of the Atlantic Ocean
☘️ Read a book where a character gets a ring or where a book is set in a small village or where the authors initials can be found in IVERAGH.

6. Killarney
If you decide to complete the Ring of Kerry scenic drive, you’ll come across Killarney. Take the time to explore the town and it’s very walkable. Nearby Killarney National Park should not be overlooked. Within the park, you'll find the three famous Killarney lakes, which provide breathtaking views as they sit beside the mountain range, and Torc Waterfall, one of the most spectacular in Ireland and best viewed after heavy rain.
☘️ Read a book where a character looks at a waterfall or where a character explores a town or where the authors initials can be found in KILLARNEY.

7. Dingle Peninsula
You’ll find the Dingle Peninsula slightly northwest of Killarney. Its rugged coastline and charming villages create the ultimate Irish experience. Explore the Slea Head Drive for jaw-dropping vistas, and encounter ancient archaeological sites.
☘️ Read a book where a character takes part in an archaeological dig or were a character takes a drive or where the first letter of each title word can be found in DINGLE PENINSULA. (Three word minimum),

8. Aran Islands
Inishmore, Inishmaan, and Inisheer make up the Aran Islands, a place known for its ruins and sacred sites. The islands unfold a tale of timeless elegance against the backdrop of the Atlantic's gentle embrace. If you’re already in Galway, you can take the seasonal ferry directly from the city to the islands.
☘️ Read a book set on an island or where a character takes a ferry or where the first letter of the location can be found in ARAN.

9. Doolin
If your trip was inspired by the desire to hear Irish music, look no further than Doolin, a coastal village known as the “traditional music capital of Ireland.” Take a seat at Gus O'Connor's Pub or McDermott's Pub and enjoy hours of lively tunes, pint in hand. Doolin is also called the “gateway to the Aran Islands,” as the rocky isles are just offshore.
☘️ Read a book where a character listens to music or set at a pub or with a character called Gus.

10. Adare
Located southwest of Limerick, Adare was founded in the 13th century, and since then, it's become known as one of the most beautiful villages in the country. It’s a destination that captivates visitors with its “timeless charm, picture-perfect thatched cottages, historic architecture, and lush green landscapes.
☘️ Read a book that is 13th in a series or with a cottage or house on the cover or tagged Historical or history.

11. Limerick
Vibrant weekend markets with pop-up restaurants and sidewalk musicians performing in front of colorful murals are all part of the Limerick experience. Aside from being well-known for a 13th century castle, King John’s Castle, along the River Shannon, the city is also home to one of the country’s top hotels: Adare Manor. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, it’s worth a visit to experience their afternoon tea in The Gallery room.
☘️ Read a book where a character drinks tea or a character named Shannon or John or where the authors initials can be found in LIMERICK.

12. Wicklow Mountains National Park
Wicklow Mountains National Park is the largest of Ireland’s six national parks. Hikers and walkers have their choice of paths in this stunning region and movie buffs will want to make their way to Sally Gap, a recognizable setting from the 2007 film "P.S. I Love You."
☘️Read a book where a character says I love you or that is sixth in a series or published in 2007.

☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️

Do one task for each place.

12/12

TASKS

☘️ Read a book set at a college or where a character goes for a walk or where the author's initials can be found in DUBLIN.
The Duke’s Lance - C.H. Admirand (Dragonblade - Mar 2025) (walk) - Mar 17

Hawaiian Medic to Rescue His Heart - Annie O'Neil (HMED #1199 - Sept 2021) (coastal town) - Mar 5

Cold Case Murder Mystery - Nicole Helm (HI #2272 - Mar 2025) (dinner) - Mar 1

4. Cliffs of Moher
Towering over the Atlantic Ocean, the cliffs offer panoramic views that are both exhilarating and serene. Plus the surrounding landscape is equally impressive, with unique and precious wildlife and natural flora and fauna.
☘️ Read a book with cliffs or mountains on the cover or where a character is described as serene or calm or where the author's initials can be found in MOHER.
Wyoming Double Jeopardy - Juno Rushdan (HI #2280 - Apr 2025) (mountains) - Mar 24

☘️ Read a book where a character gets a ring or where a book is set in a small village or where the author's initials can be found in IVERAGH.
An American Doctor in Ireland - Karin Baine (HMED #1378 - Mar 2024) (ring) - Mar 13

His Small-Town Catch - Kaylie Newell (HSE #3088 - Apr 2025) - Apr 12

(Three word minimum).
How to Court a Rake - Bronwyn Scott (HH #1849 - Apr 2025) (drive) - Mar 23

Deadlines, Donuts & Dreidels - Jennifer Wilck (HSE #3068 - Nov 2024) (New Jersey) - Mar 7

Taming a Heartbreaker - Brenda Jackson (HSE #3047 - June 2024) (music) - Mar 21

10. Adare
