For days now I am hearing about Amazon's acquiring James Bond and everyone's suggestions about who should be the next JB. Right now the top pick seems to be Henry Cavill, who would not be my pick. I'd go for someone edgier like Tom Hardy.
So? Who?

If you're going closer to the books, Tom Hardy would be solid.

If you're trying to stay closer to the movies, Henry Cavill is good.

In truth, they'll probably go with someone you've barely heard of like Jack O'Connell.

The real questions are which car, watch, and actress?

Henry Cavill, no. Tom Hardy, not suave enough. I liked the physicality and hint of emotional vulnerability of Daniel Craig. He could be in love and kill your ass, no problem. He's my favorite, so I'd maybe go for Idris. Or Fassbender.
As for the rest, what do you suggest, J.?

Henry Cavill, yes. Tom Hardy, absolutely. Jamie Dornan would be interesting as well as Tom Hopper. My dark horse is James McCavoy. Charlie Hunnam and Colin Farrel would both be interesting too.

I thought about Jamie Dornan and Colin Farrell (especially after his turn as The Penguin).

DH has cast his vote for Scott Adkins. I can see Tom Hardy. He was stunning and hilarious in "Legend" - I think he could handle the action and the humor.

Tom Hardy has a very wide range of abilities.

OK, I'm convinced. Tom Hardy would be good if he can handle being suave. He's probably closest to my favorite, Daniel Craig. Next favorite would be Idris.
