ANNOUNCEMENTS Tip from the Mods - Are you tracking how many books you’ve read this year, but the total isn’t what you’re expecting? Each book you read needs to have a “date read” for it to show up in a given date range. The easiest way to ensure this is to mark it “currently reading” prior to marking it “read.” You can also go to the book’s page, click “edit my activity” and easily change dates read!
GROUP READ Our March theme is Food and our group read for this month is The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley, “an atmospheric slow-burn mystery about the opening weekend of a luxury coastal resort that ends in fire and death."
CHALLENGES We have two new monthly challenges for March’s theme of Food, and we continue the first-quarter challenges with the theme of Sadness.
Monthly challenges Reading Picnic is an open challenge to read books with food on the cover or in the title. Gastronomical Reads offers ten food-related prompts.
Quarterly challenges Sad Songs is a prompt-based challenge that will inspire you to sing the blues. Embracing the Blues is an open challenge where you choose your blue adventure. Whether you spell it out, find blue covers, titles, or a mix of everything—it's up to you!
Yearly challenges can help you reach your reading goals for the year in 2025. Check out A Guide to the 2025 Yearly Challenges to learn more about our year-long challenges!
Do you have an idea for a new challenge? Please let us know! Most of our quarterly and monthly challenges grow from our members’ suggestions. We would love to hear your creative ideas!
