I don't understand. This should be where I need to make this request. I have a new book release and I need it added to my author profile. I can't find another section on where to post this. I can't add it myself since my author name on amazon is different than here on goodreads and I'm unable to change it. thank you

This comes down to the interpretation of the word 'add'.

The section where you posted your request is for adding books to the Goodreads database.

The book you mention id already in GR, as you can see:

So, even if you wish for the book to be added to your author profile, your request should not be in the 'add new books and editions' section, but in the Book and Author page issues.

But there's no need for it anymore as the book is already in your author page:
