A specific day in April to start reading the book. Buddy Reads are more relaxed than Book of the Month. The time frame is usually for a month and the discussion starts when we finish. If you want a 2 week time frame instead of a month, that is also fine with me. This book I'll probably have read in 3 - 5 days unless something comes up.

Can the Jen Turano novel be read as a standalone?

I'm sure it can be. Each novel has their own story, no continuing plots.

Eunice is in the previous novels, but no real information has been given about her background. The only thing we know is that she's well off financially and always wears black veils in public, not wanting to be recognized.

This will be my first time reading this one.
