In 2005 Dozois published a selection from the previously published annual volumes, The Best of the Best: 20 Years of the Year's Best Science Fiction. As you would expect it’s excellent. There was a later collection chosen from the whole run of the anthology series, The Very Best of the Best: 35 Years of the Year's Best Science Fiction, which I haven’t seen but which is also presumably very good.
