I have a couple of audios to listen to before this one. Do you want to start at any particular time, or just plan for later in the month?

I listened to the audio of this one, and I enjoyed it, but I kept having to go back and re-listen due to missing bits.

I loved the fact that Amina at the start of the main story is not an 18 year old mega-adventurer. Coming out of retirement made for a good and somewhat surprising story. And, I loved that she was just a kick ass.

I mostly listened to this one as well. I kept going back to read the parts where Anima was talking to someone "off camera" to see what she was saying as the narrator made it sound as if it was to someone in the background and we weren't necessarily supposed to hear it. It thought that was rather fun.

Oh, I liked that she was in retirement and coming out to take a job! She really was a kick-ass and take names kind of gal!! Love that.

Okay, I may have liked the retirement bit because I SOO want to retire! 🤣

I love the section about the (view spoiler)[ drunken marriage! That was so funny to me! (hide spoiler)]

Anima also had some snark - I love me some snarky characters!!

Yes on the marriage thingy. That had me laughing out loud.

I am debating reading the next book. I think I will give it some time and listen to it again before I decide.

I am not a huge fan of pirate-type or seafaring stories, but I have to say that this one was one of the better ones.

I'm not a fan of pirate books either but I made a pact with myself to do my damnedest to read the BOMs here and at NBRC. Honestly, I almost didn't read this one until it fit in the Book Quest tasks! I was surprised, I enjoyed this one.

I applaud your dedication. I absolutely think of reading them all, but then the books that I actually want to read start staring at me from my bookshelves, and I succumb to often slightly better literature or sillier premises.

This was a nice surprise though.
