Goodreads notifications have had problems since the first of the year, but I tracked down a solution in the help forums that worked for me (I did get this notification). Not sure if you've noticed but Goodreads will also show people as not having been active in months on their profiles even though they're commenting on threads daily. So basically, log out of Goodreads on all devices. When you log back in, it should show you as active this month and notifications should work again, for a while anyway.
