Hiii everyone!! Thank you so much for joining my group! I hope that in this group, everyone will be able to freely discuss their interests and things they love, make new friends, and have a good time!! <333

Here’s a simple introduction about me:
Hi, I go by the name ~MasterDaoistQuqu~ which is based on a character from the danmei novel Peerless but feel free to call me Ququ! I use the pronouns she/her :)

I’m in my teens and I love watching c-dramas + kdramas and sometimes reality shows! I also really love listening to kpop, c-pop and j-pop! I love reading danmei and other c-novels and I’m also a very big manga and manhua reader ^^ My fav celebrities are Wang Yibo, Xiao Zhan (both from The Untamed), Zhao Lusi, Bai Lu, Tan Jianci...and many more 🥰 I stan enhypen, illit, KATSEYE (Ik they're not kpop), boynextdoor, le sserafim, txt, cortis, xlov, zb1, p1harmony, and sooo many more...

Some fun facts about me: my fav animal is a platypus (they're the best, I don't get why people don’t love them more ❤) , I’m currently learning chinese…you can probably guess why, and I can play the piano!

Oh, and also my fav c-drama of all is The Untamed, so I set the group's profile picture as that but when we gain more members we can vote on a celebrity or drama to set as the pfp.

Hiiiiiii!!!!!!! My name is Madeleine or you can call me Maddie or Mads (i don't care which name you use!!) I'm really into J-pop and I'm getting into K-pop I haven't listened to any C-Pop however I'm open to try it!! I haven't seen any Asian dramas but I have a few on my list on Netflix that i have to watch i'm a very big manga reader (been trying to get into manhwa and manhua but they're sooooo expensive) I play the flute and i'm a teenager. uuhhhhhhhhhh I'm currently learning Japanese and French on duolingo !!!

My name is Katie. I go by Kat or Katie. Pronouns she/her but won't take offense either way.

I enjoy watching asian dramas. I've mostly watched k-dramas but I have watched a few c-dramas. Untamed, Word of Honor, and Love Between Fairy and Devil. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Most of the stuff I have watched is adapted from asian novels, manga, or webtoons. I'm limited to Viki, Amazon, and Netflix.

I'm also REALLY bad with names so while I might prefer an actor/actress I tend to not remember.... Just some really random brain function. I can remember content but names and titles my brain isn't interested in retaining.

I do not think I have listened to c-pop but I have k-pop and j-pop (mostly from anime). I tend pick a song or group and just let it play randomly/similar genres. So I most likely wouldn't be able to give names. 😅 I do prefer pop with less rap. More "boy band" style?

I read a big variety of things and thank my library because I can find a lot of it there. Which saves tons of money. If they get defunded which looks like it is happening I am going to be screwed. I did keep track of it financially once (what I saved by using the library) and it was eye popping. Like half my yearly income! LOL One quirk I guess I have is I prefer physical copies. I'll use e-books but only as a last option. Except for audiobooks give those to me digitally all day long over cds. Cd's have there own problems needing to keep track of the minutes to find your place, being scratched, ect. I listen to most of them at 2.5 x's the speed comfortably, which is a little slower than reading level for me.

If I could learn a language it would purely be for reading. Japanese, Korean, and Chinese comics/novels. I would love be to able to read those without waiting for english translations.

By the way, I didn’t realize we were so similar Katie ^^ like I knew we had similar taste in books but I had no idea you also watched dramas and listen to asian music! I also rely on my library a lot…i don’t know what i’d do without it 😓

I am not ashamed to admit it but I watched that all the way through start to finish as an adult. If it’s good it’s good!!

No one I know watches asian dramas so I am looking forward to chatting with a group who does!!

A lot of the music I listen to is off the dramas and anime’s I watch.

Of course I am obsessed with the music from The Untamed, Word of Honor, Grandmaster of demonic and HOB anime.

Hehe we do seem to have similar reading tastes. Mine are pretty varied.

Hi, I'm Monique, you can also call me Moni. I started my danmei journey with The Untamed five years ago and the rest is history, lol. I enjoy reading danmei and buying books (I'll soon run out of space again and don't get me started on the state of my wallet 😅) I love watching c-dramas and I prefer xianxia/wuxia settings.
I also love listening to chinese music from traditional instrumenal to... I have no idea about music genres, so I don't know how is that called - soundtracks from c-dramas. Among my favorite singers are Liu Yuning, Zhou Shen, Luo Yunxi, Xiao Zhan, Wang Yibo, Zhang Bichen, Faye, Tia Ray, Tan Jianci... ok, I can't list everyone 😆 I'm also learning, or trying to learn chinese but I'm very bad with charachters. At least, I'm somehow good with pinyin because I like to learn with lyrics 😄

What a wonderful idea to start a group about Cdramas. Somehow lockdown during the pandemic caused me to fall down the rabbit hole of Cdramas. I think I was disenchanted with many European and American television dramas and discovered that the beauty and escapism of Cdramas was just what I was looking for.

I am looking for actors in beautiful costumes in more or less fantastical settings, hence I gravitate towards xianxia and wuxia dramas. However, even modern dramas are full of escapism so I don't mind them either. Realism and gritty dramas are not my thing so I gravitate towards love stories and fluffy dramas.

At the moment, some of my favourite dramas are "Blossom" (2024), "The Double" (2024), "A Familiar Stranger" (2022), "Mysterious Lotus Casebook" (2023) and "A Journey to Love" (2023) and "The White Olive Tree" (2025). But there are so many dramas that I like...

Some of my favourite actors are Cheng Yi, Liu Yuning, Liu Xueyi, and Chen Zheyuan as well as Bai Lu, Cecilia Liu, Zoey Meng and Zhao Lusi but again there are many other wonderful actors....

Interesting facts about me are that I like reading, especially danmei novels. I like sewing my own clothes, especially full circle skirts and am planning to sew a hanbok skirt and also a horse face skirt at some point. And of course, I love cats!

I think I’m going to like it here 😄 I like sewing because I can make what I want and both the hanbok skirt and the horse face skirt are wrap skirts so they are adjustable.

Omg. I cannot even get started on how disappointing and dumb American shows are…. It seems to all about nudity and sex. Tv-ma ratings. Pushing that content to its limits. That is why I got into asian dramas. They are like wholesome and cute but can be really ball your eyes out real. Great costumes and worlds. The fighting stunt work is great.

I know what you mean!!! Everyone just wants to watch pointless s** when there's no story or anything (I hate and never watch stuff like that) 😡 On the other hand, I really like how Asian dramas are much more appropriate and you almost never see content like that...they're also so much deeper and I feel like they have so much more meaning!! They can also be cute and funny, pretty much everything I'd want in a show <3 Not to mention the outfits and everything are beautifulllllllll
