my favorite J-pop artist is Ado and LiSA and my favorite K-pop artist is Stray Kids

Ohhh I think i've listened to a few of Ado's songs!! I think LiSA has made a lot of anime songs too, I just never realized it was her till today 🤩 I had a friend who really loved Stray Kids too! Who's your bias 😏?

i don't have on yet, i only recently got into it like last week i started listening to them, but once i do get one i'll tell you!!

Oh yeahhhhh I know this happened a whole week ago but did y'all hear about Bain from the k-pop boyband Just B and how he came out as gay during a concert (in LA I think)?

As someone who very openly supports the lgbtqia+ community (i'm aroace myself) and as an Asian, I know it is much harder for Asians to come out as an lgbtqia+ member since it isn't as supported and it's considered taboo in many Asian countries 😢...so I'm very happy that some people out there are brave enough to do things like what Bain did, and hopefully the world will change thanks to these brave people <333

Apparently Lara from Katseye also came out as queer last month too, she said she was "half a fruitcake"

Any other Katseye fans here 🥰??

Oh I didn't know that...that indeed quite brave of him. The kpop industry is quite hideous when it comes to stuff like sexuality and relationships...to a point where I can't even imagine what the idols in there are going through...

For the past 3 months, I've been hearing nothing but the KSR-KSH case. Like it's really getting way out of hand. I've never watched any of Kim Soo hyun's dramas because his acting was personally a bit too cheesy for me. But then this started bombarding everywhere. I know that all the evidence points to him as a criminal. I do think that he deserves to rot in prison, which's the standard punishment. But why are his previous fans and other netizens cyberbullying him? I know many will disagree with me, but this is too much. If someone doesn't like someone, stop supporting them...why do they keep picking sides, completely demolishing the other and dirtying their own hands...like guys we don't know anything about this case because all these evidences were dropped by netizens in the first place... I'm not supporting KSH in the slightest but that's all there is to it!

I saw something about KSH but didn't read the article. I mean I think voicing your disappointment/upset sensibly is ok but there is no need to attack/bully people. That's going too far.

Exactly...now whenever I come across a reel or clip of Queen of Tears/It's Ok To Not Be Okay... it's just filled with millions of hate comments... I don't know...I feel like I've finally seen how much hate people are capable of.

It's a snowball effect. You see a hateful comment and think Yah! That's right! Then, write your own and ect. 🙂‍↔️

It's pretty much internet vomiting. No one stops to think about how their words will effect anything they just think it is their right to say whatever/however they feel.

It feels like a burden off my chest now that I've talked about it. People just bombard us with hate when we try to stay out of it. I'm so happy to see that there are people who feel the same way. I hope no more of these people have to end their life like this...ever😢

I haven't watched Queen of Tears... I've not watched any business dramas except Business Proposal of course 😉. There was this one scene that really put me off...the fl had a headache or something and the ml (KSH) asked his secretary or somebody to call an ambulance...and the expression the secretary made was literally me. But I do know a lot of people who watched it and loved it so...

ohhhhh okieeee, cuz I saw a lot of queen of tears shorts when it came out but I never actually watched it 😅 and then that whole ksr-ksh thing came up so yeah...

Hey...is it just me or did Goodreads fix their notifications? Because for the past few months I wasn't receiving updates if anything happened in a group I was in and I was missing a lot of notifications but they came back today...did any of y'all have the same problem?

i mean the same thing happened to me, but with my updates and i think it is starting to happen to me with my groups as well.

I haven´t watched it myself but seem to remember that it was rated quite highly when it was first broadcast. Please, let us know how you like it ...

Omg I just found out Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is getting a live action film!! It'll be released in July and it's supposed to be a set of movies I think 🤔 I'm reading the manhwa and I'm loving it so I'm pretty excited ^^

I saw this too but I’m leery. Live actions can either be great or be too poor quality. If they got the budget for the cgi, great! I’m curious why they chose live action instead of anime? Maybe to not have to compete with Solo Leveling?

I agree with that. I also believe some mangas out there just cannot be captured properly as a live adaptation...the best course of action would be to leave them alone. That was the reason why I was so mad at the live action Oshi no Ko... it's one thing I don't believe would work out! The art is something else and compliments the plot well...I mean I can't even imagine the stage play scene being reproduced with a live cast. The effects in the manga were unreal...I could see them move on the page <3

I wish I had more time to watch stuff!!! Generally can only watch 1-2 epi’s on Sat/Sun. And that’s me waking up WAY too early on my days off. Like 7. Aaarrggghhhh.

You sound really busy, even on your day offs 😬 I'm always sleeping in when I get the chance...waking up at 7 is nearly impossible for me on the weekends unless I absolutely have to

Sometimes I can do 8 but June sucks for me. My bodies like oh the sun hasn’t set and it isn’t completely pitch black so no sleep for you. Then the sunrise is at like 5am and my bodies like whelp the suns up so should you be. Ugh! Longest brightest days. I sleep so much easier in fall and winter because of the short sun time.

Absolutely agree! June is exam season which is very bad for regular reading and drama watching.

I am trying to read volume 4 of "Ballad of Sword and Wine" with some regularity because it is so complicated that breaks are very confusing.

Actually, I´m quite happy that "The Next Prince" is only releasing one episode per week, because I am enjoying that Thai drama while I´m trying to watch "The Legend of Zang Hai" which also requires a lot of hiding behind a pillow.

And now I hear that Liu Yuining´s next drama will at the end of June...
