Fantasy, romance... sometimes a bit of thriller... Absolutely anything is fine when it comes to webtoons xD

My most recent webtoon was Annarasumanara which I think you guys saw my review on. It also has a kdrama adaptation with Ji Chang-wook and Hwang In-youp <3

I just started What's Wrong with Secretary Kim? cuz I heard it was really funny ^^ apparently there's a k-drama for it too

At the moment I'm also reading See You in My 19th Life, The Lady and Her Butler, and Business Proposal, even though I forgot to pick it back up (I'll try to remember next time) 😓 I was just about to start True Beauty and Noblesse since there's a few volumes at my library 🤩 actually all of the manhwas I just listed are at my library and that's how I'm reading them 😊

My fav genres are fantasy, romance, mystery, and comedy!! I've always been a big mystery fan but I also really love anything that's funny ^^ when they're combined it's amazing <3333 I love fantasy and romance too ofc

How do you think of trapped in a soap opera so far? I think I'm caught up with the webtoon but I'm considering dropping it cuz I lowkey hate all the MLs except Ro-un who's absolutely precious, but I like the sibling dynamic between Sera and him and don't really want him to turn into a love interest lmao (sorry idk abt run on sentences atp)

Trapped in a soap opera is super cooooollll!?!! Omg I can't believe I forgot about that... Everybody else, you have to read this! I like Ro-un too and their sibling dynamic is pretty strong but I just hate the other two guys. One is a psycho and the other is too ignorant and borderline tedious 😤

Also the webtoon kinda turns into horror pretty quick... Especially when you know , Seon Gyeong shows up. Like that girl scares me more than the intentional horror webtoons... What part of that is a soap opera to begin with!?!??

No offense to ppl who like them but I *loathe* the other two MLs so much urghh. I don't remember their names but the blond psycho is actually crazy. I'm fine with him being crazy, just go be crazy somewhere else and stop bothering our fl.
I actually kinda hate the other CEO(?) guy even more, like the way he thinks and talks to Sera is so damn disrespectful

Oh the panels with the og FL HAHAH. When it first turned to horror it was so scary I laughed out loud. Like girl was out of it. I think she might be even crazier than the psycho ML. I was joking with a friend that with how unhealthly obsessed and manipulative she is acting, if this story ends up being a gl , it would be the least toxic resolution of the relationship she has with Sera.

If you enjoy S-Class Hunters you’d probably like I’m the Max-Level Newbie. It’s got the comedic action storyline that makes SCH so great.

Ro-un is one of the only charecter who had a valid reason for avoiding her. But even after all that suffering, he was the first one to notice the change in Sera and be kind to her. But I still agree with you. Her being an independent fl is the best... I would like it if the Roun-Sera dynamic was purely platonic ❤️ and I hope the others just leave her alone...

I'm currently rereading MDZS and I discovered so many new details because I find it easier to read physical copies compared to reading on a phone. I also bought Dinghai Fusheng Records but haven't started yet (I did read some of the chapters before and liked it).

I used to read much more manhuas on Bilibili app before it was closed up but haven't found/searched for an alternative yet. So if anyone has a suggestion, I'd appreciate it 😊

The ones I was reading were Legend of exorcism, TGCF, Saved the public enemy by mistake, Copper coins (wasn't really a fan), The Reincernation of the influential courtier, The Beloved noble consort is a man, The disciple wants to rebel

The Bilibili manhua app shutting down actually devastated me omg 😭😭 There are so many good translated manhuas that were just dropped when the app shut down since they weren't popular enough to get picked up by other fans or other webtoon companies.

So far, I haven't found any good alternatives either. I mean there's INKR comics which has comparably quite a lot of manhua on their site but I despair at their translation quality. I always end up just reading the raws instead since their translations always feels a bit lazy to me.

There's also Tapas and Tappytoon but they tend to have far more manhwa than manhua but their translations are at least of acceptable quality. But many if not most of their comics are locked behind payway, unfortunately, unlike bilibilicomics which you can mostly read for free if you wait.

WOW no way I found another saved the public enemy by mistake fan?? I love that work so much, I think I was most devastated about that manhua when bilibili announced they were going to cancel the international app. tgcf at least I think is popular enough that official translation will continue, but no one has picked up public enemy as far as I know so I'm crying over its grave every day.

I also wasn't a huge fan of copper coins, idk, I was thinking of giving it another try when the english novel comes out.

How did you think about The disciple wants to rebel? I was actually just debating whether I should start it since I saw it on my old shelf of tbr manhuas.

This is such a bummer. I was reading some them that I never saw anyone talking about them, so they were probably dropped ☹️ I kind of lost hope I'll find them anywhere.

I'll check out the ones you mentioned. If I know the plot, bad translation doesn't bother me that much but if not, then it's really hard to follow what's going on 🫤

Yes, I loved public enemy so much 😍 the main couple is amazing, side charachters are great and the story is really interesting. Also, art is so cute 🥰🥰🥰 (well, not the gory parts but everything else) luckily I have so many screenshot saved at least 😅
If only this story was based on book then it would probably be more chances to get an official translation 🥺

I like the art of copper coins but I was not interested in plot so I'm still deciding about giving book a chance or not.

I really like Disciple wants to rebel but I stopped in the middle of it (I think I got distracted with sth else 🫣). It took me some time at first to get invested because I made a mistake to compare it too much with erha. I mean, it's great but erha will always be superior to me 😄 so yeah, maybe not have too high expectations. But otherwise I was enjoying it 😊

Wait how do you do that??? Do you screenshot then translate using Google translate? IDK I technically can read Chinese it's just a lot slower for me than reading english and I'm lazy so I tend to read the translated version instead. But if there isn't good translations, then I read the raws.

Yeahhh I have to screenshot page by page and then put it into google translate 😅 it takes FOREVER and sometimes the translation isn't even right but sometimes the chinese bilibili is the only source i have so 😔...

A lot of the time I read manhuas that I've already read the novel to so I can kinda guess what they're saying, especially since I'm learning chinese and can understand a bit

I'm caught up with what was last posted - the begining of Xia Sini arc and then some random "extra" chapters. As far as I know the artist quited or was replaced?? But after that there weren't any updates anymore and I also didn't hear anything about continuing 🥺🥺

Yupppp danmei and c-dramas are my biggest motivations to learn chinese 😅 At the moment I'm reading the Little Mushroom manhua since I just finished the novels, I ship my rival x me, the MDZS manhua that's slowly being released by seven seas, and uhhhh i think that's all?? Sometimes I start manhuas and then forget about them so....

Do any of y'all have any good manhua recs, preferably historical ones (they take place in ancient china and stuff)? They don't have to be danmei either, but that would still be nice 🥰

- Peerless (unfortunately got discontinued after ch 23 😭)
- The villain has something to say (also got discontinued after a certain number of chapters but it was good)

I've actually read a few of these:
- Peerless which is my fav danmei and I was absolutely loving the Manhua but of course it just had to be unfinished 😭😭😭
- Qiang Jin Jiu cuz I also love the novels
- I started How to Survive as a Villain but I didn't really like the art but based on what you've said I'll give it another try ^^
- I also read saved the public enemy by mistake and I was loving it so much but I don't think I finished it...is it finished?? What's the last chapter?? Because when I read it a few months ago the last chapter available was definitely was not the ending, or maybe it's cuz the site I was reading it on didn't have all the chapters :(

hmm back from the dead

I am almost done with Noblesse!! Only a few more days of the daily passes to go. What a trek. Parts of it were great but other parts were tedious to me. I did a lot of dialogue skimming and had no issues. So that tells you it was more fluff than crucial to the story line. I know this has a short on Crunchyroll, so I'm going to give that a watch as soon as I am finished.

Have any of you read The Obsidian Bride?

Y'all I just read the first volume of True Beauty and...I can't say I like it 😭😭😭 I don't know if it's cuz it's the first volume so I'm not really into the story yet but I didn't really like the MC as much as I though I would since everyone said she was so relatable and ig she kinda is but still 😭😭😭 I'll give Vol 2 a try but kinda disappointed since there's so much hype about it
