I also think that the book was all right.
I liked the beginning of the book, the prolog was intriguing and made me want to continue. The writing was also good, there was quite a few quotes that I really liked, some of my favorites beeing;
"A good cup of tea will cure all ills, and if it doesn't have another"
"As it turns out you can't own property when you are a corpse"
"You can't jugde a person by the job they do or by their station in life; you must jugde a person by their actions"
My favorite character was Mr. Preston, I really loved him, as well as his daughter. I think that my favorite part of the book was the teamworking part by the end, when they all had to works as a team and trust each other.
Now over to things I wasn't the biggest fan of. First of all, the main character. I just found her a bit frustrating at times. I know that she has some autistic characteristics, though it is never stated that she has autsm. That wasnt the problem, it just seemed like the author made her seem dumb at times, witch was frustrating to read. I have read a book before where the main character has autsm, and I never thought that about the character there. And the scene at the end with her grandmother?! Like i understand that it was her wish, but still?? It just made me dislike the main character more.
I wasn't really shocked by the mystery either, I did predict about Guiselle and Rodney early on, but didn't quite predict the murderer, though I wasn't surprised when I found out.
So overall there where things I liked, and things I didn't, so I landed on 3 stars. It was a fast read, but I don't thing that i will pick up the next book in the series.

Overall, it’s an okay mystery book with an interesting main character, but I was hoping for a bit more depth and suspense. However I still think it’s worth picking up if you’re in the mood for something light and different.
3/5 stars
