YA or Children's book? But we quit group-reading it in the fifth grade because it was "too mature" with inappropriate themes than they initially thought. I dont know what genre or title, only remembered I forgot abt this book today lol

The teacher is gone for whatever reason and class is either uper sad or super happy. They get a young springy substitue whom they either like or dislike right off the bat. She has a small rainbow or similar tattoo on her ankle, idk what grade the kids are in, and she gets in trouble for reading animal farm to them because it wasnt appropriate for their age range, and she gets embarassed thinking it was a childrens book about a simple farm or smth. I was read this in maybe 2014 or 2015 by my own substitue/teacher aid before they relised theyre doing the same thing the sub in the book was doing hahah

Seeing Red?Class got boring again when Miss Miller pulled a paperback book out of her flower-power bag, acting as if she were Santa Claus. “This is one of my favorite, favorite books, and I want to read it out loud to you.”
I looked at the cover. It looked like a baby book with a goofy barnyard on the front. It was called Animal Farm.
Miss Miller read to us some more from her Animal Farm book. It turned out, there was a lot more to it than a bunch of talking farm animals. She explained that the book was criticizing how societies tell people what to do and how to think.
