Latasha (latasha513) | 11983 comments Hello! The theme for our May group read is folk horror. Just in case anyone needs it:
Folk horror is a subgenre of horror film and horror fiction that uses elements of folklore to invoke fear and foreboding. Typical elements include a rural setting, isolation, and themes of superstition, folk religion, paganism, sacrifice and the dark aspects of nature.

Previous group reads are NOT eligible. You can find that list here:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Books that get the most +1 are more likely to make it on the poll. Authors please do not nominate your own books.

These were previous group reads and are thus NOT eligible. Please check the link in post 1 or the list copied in post 10 before nominating.

mireya wrote: "misery - stephen king!!!"

This was a previous group read and doesn't meet the theme.

It does! I bought it when it was a 99p kindle deal ages ago and I really must start getting through my kindle books as I tend to choose physical books over electronic and I must stop that 🤣 I’ve so many (potentially) great books lined up on my kindle and I thought this a good opportunity to get reading this one!

The main rules are the books nominated should fit the theme mentioned and should be books that haven't been group reads before.
