Horror Aficionados discussion

i’m just now getting into books/reading loll, so i’m trying to find some good horror books to check out. i just finished reading “things have gotten worse since we last spoke”, and i mostly enjoyed it. i do enjoy when a book has shock value, but not really when it’s done with sexual assault (unless it genuinely goes with the story and isn’t wayyy too overboard) or pedo-bait bs (strict on this one lolll it’s never excusable). i bought a copy of playground, so im hoping there’s nothing like that in it. other than that, ill read pretty much anything! especially if it combines extreme metal (black metal, war metal, death metal etc) in any way, whether it be the center of the book or a small side character kinda thing. i’m also looking to make some friends so just let me know! thank you!
