Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon discussion

We are nearly there! I’m always amazed by how many books everyone manages to finish during Dewey’s. Have you completed any books this time?

I’ve finished 3 books this readathon so far and its helped me get ahead with my target of reading 45 books this year.

Have you set a Goodreads reading goal and if so are you on target?

I finished two books, but was well into them when readathon started! Still, finished book is a finished book :D

The beginning of the year was very slow for me, so initially I settled for 12 books. When I reached this goal in spring, I moved it to 24, but now I reached it as well...

I finished my 4th book for this readathon in hour 21, and started book 5. I am not really aiming for a particular number, so I am happy with my progress so far. I have managed to not get distracted by all my other books, too, so my books are all from this month's tbr.
I set my annual Goodreads goal really high, and am ahead, so after this weekend I'll be a bit more ahead. But, I tend to be more busy in summer, so getting ahead now keeps me from being behind by July.

2 books is a great accomplishment, well done! A couple of mine were already started too. Sounds like you have gathered momentum with your reading. Are you going to increase your goal again?

Definitely, it's not even May yet. But maybe not by much, so it's realistic to meet when another reading slump hits! Maybe to 28 or 32, something like that

I've only finished one so far, but I'm determined to finish a second!

That's what I like about April Dewey's, it helps you get ahead so you can have a couple of slower reading months later in the year.
