I read two books, from which I finished one. I gave it 5 stars. Yey!

How many books did you finish?
1

Did you accomplish your goals for this readathon?
Yes!

How did your snacks and meals work out? Are there things you would change about the food and beverages side of your readathon for next time?
I didn’t plan anything and that seems to work. I just took what was there and didn’t stress out with planning.

Did you enjoy this readathon? What was the most successful part of your readathon? What would you change for next time?
I enjoyed it a lot. I agreed with hubby in advance that I need some „me time“. That worked well and I had more reading than ever in this readathon.

Will you be continuing your readathon reading past the end of our official readathon?
Probably.

I did enjoy my reading during the readathon, particularly enjoying Yellowface where many rhetorical and scholarly and culturally powerful ideas are incorporated. How much I will remember of the book I do not know. Yes, I will continue reading right now. Usually Jaime sets up for us a Cool Down Week thread for us to use.

Melanie | 58 comments I read three books during the readathon. I couldn't pick a favourite, I loved them all!

I only finished one book.

I didn't really have any goals for the readathon. I just wanted to participate and to keep within the official times, which I did.

I stopped reading for meals and sleep, but I planned out what to eat in advance, so that it was a bit quicker. Next time, I would plan out meal times, so as not to waste time.

Yes, I did enjoy the readathon! The most successful part was completing the readathon! Next time, I might try doing the hours outside the official time, and not counting the time I was asleep.

No, I will be finishing the readathon at the official end time.

Thank you hosts, for all your hard work!

Cathy (cathepsut) | 594 comments This is what I finished during Dewey‘s April 25:
- Pushing Ice, Audible TBR, 530p., 19h 43m

Plus what I finished in the cool-down period of the readathon:
- Son of the Shadows (Sevenwaters #2) = my favourite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Magic Slays (Kate Daniels #6), Graphic Audio, 10h36m (320p.) —> started my Everand trial.
- Clarkesworld Magazine, Issue 222, March 2025, 202p.

My goal or wish was to finish Pushing Ice and Son of the Shadows by the end of May. I did!

I hadn‘t planned any special snacks or meals, I just did my usual and it worked out fine.

I enjoyed the readathon, although I didn‘t get to really read peacefully on Saturday. I was invited to a birthday party and somehow my whole day was very scattered. Sunday was a good reading day! At this point I have given up on planning a free weekend for readathons. Maybe I should try for a wellness weekend at a spa on my own and combine that with a lot of reading? There is an idea for the next one…

I continued reading past the end of the official readathon, see books read above! But I always do. Funnily enough I often read more on the „normal“ weekends than on any readathon weekend. Having to do something is a huge de-motivator for me… 😂 🤷
