Colin and Amy begin to turn on each other, blaming the other for Lucy’s abduction. Is this something that other couples might do in similar circumstances or is there something underneath it all and unique to them?

Colin was scared the abduction had to do with his work, but with the calls directed to Amy, he was right to suspect she may have been responsible. I think Colin and Amy loved each other but they weren't very close.

They didn't have a solid marriage. In that case, I think it is normal to blame the other spouse. They don't have enough trust to weather the storm.
