well...not sure if it counts as a mystery, but it's from the 70s and the author is from the UK...Agent in Place I just got a used copy which is why I thought of it. Spy novel, but sort of mysterious?
Great idea Jackie! We go by the book page, and GR readers list it as "mystery" as well as spy thriller. Thanks 😊
ONGOING NOMINATIONS
Agent in Place by Helen MacInnes
The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman
A Sleeping Life by Ruth Rendell
The Long Call by Ann Cleeves

Well since the film of Richard Osman's The Thursday Murder Club will be released in a few months, how about us reading his second one? The Man Who Died Twice? I'll nominate that one 😊
I'll try again with The Long Call. Ann Cleeves is one of my favourite mystery authors, and I'd really like to hear what the rest of you think.
Thanks both! We have enough now for a poll, but could add another if anyone's missed it so far 😊
