I LOVED this duology so much. I desperately wanted to glimpse more into the life beyond the war for Gideon and Rune 😭😭😭

*SPOILERS* Both sides have morally valid reasons to hate each other — and honestly, it makes sense!! Their motivations aren’t just thrown in for drama; they’re deeply rooted and believable!

*SPOILERS* I ALSO live for this kind of mind games between characters. The tension, the manipulation, the morally grey choices — give me more! It’s so satisfying when both sides have valid reasons and you’re just stuck in the middle like: “okay but who do I root for now?!”

It is estimated that I have three more weeks on my library hold. I might have to cave and purchase it so I can join in the discussion! I really liked the first book, so I am excited to read this one!
