Celeste is at the bookstore... again! Her favorite author just published a new book, and she wanted it. She walks around the bookstore feeling at peace.

Max is on his way to the bookstore. he needs books to help him study for his exams coming up and he'll probably forget if he doesnt do it now. he walks into the store

Celeste has her arms full of books that she doesn't notice Max, which leads to her accidentally bumping into him and dropping all of the books "oof!"

"are you okay?" Max asks as he bends to pick up the books she dropped. they both reach for the same book at the same time, and their hands brush.

Celeste flushes "Yea... im sorry!" she quickly scarmbles up holding the books close

Max shrugs "its okay. a 6'4 vampire can be difficult to see sometimes" he jokes

Celeste blushes and a small giggle escapes her lips "I'm Celeste". She holds out her hand

he shakes her hand "i'm Max." he looks awkward for a second "do you- uh, do you wanna go get coffee or something?"

(there a mini coffee shop in the bookstore.)

Celeste tucks her hair behind her ear, blushing, she nods, "Sure... yea i'd like that.."

Max nods. "okay then. you have to let me help carry some of your books though. i can barely see you around them" he says, smiling.

Celeste nods, she hands him some ofher books. Now that the books aren't blocking her face, Max can see her face better. Her ruby red eyes and red lips (I'm being weird)
"Lets go"

(its fine.)

Max nods again, unable to say anything now he can see how gorgeous she is. (hehehehehe)

Celeste walks over to the register, buys her books then they head over to the small coffee area in the shop. She turns her ruby eyes to him "What are you gonna get?"

"black coffee probably. what about you?" he asks.

Celeste nods, "Maybe a latte"

he nods in acknowledgement. they go to the counter to order and Max pays with his card. they find a table by the window.

Celeste sits down, setting her books aside, and then looking at Max, she can't help but stare, he was hot... (hehe) with his light green eyes, scruffy black hair, and tall, muscular body. Not only that but his glasses made him look cute.
Catching herself staring, Celeste looks down at her coffee, flushing, "Thanks again"

he smiles slightly noticing her staring at him. "no problem. its not everyday a cute girl bumps into you" as if suddenly realizing he called her cute he fixes hi eyes back onto the table, and away from her beautiful crimson eyes. (okay, but why is this so fckin cute <3)

Celeste blushes when he calls her cute. She keeps her stare down on her coffee before getting her courage and looking up, "Tell me about yourself."

he looks up from his coffee through his lashes, not trusting himself to fully meet her gaze. realizing how stupid that sounds, he sits back in his chair to look at her as he talks "lets see. im half vampire half human. i pay guitar. oh, and i absolutely hate the latest Star Trek series." (hes so real for the last one) "what about you? your probably was more interesting than i am."

Celeste blushes under his stare and then giggles "Not really, lets see... im 17, half vampire cause of my dad.... um... i like books" she shrugs and motions around the shop "and someday i hope to own one of my own of these"

he tilts his head slightly to the side, "well dam. seems like i was right, you are more interesting. i have no idea what i want to do. maybe own a music store or something." he shrugs.

Celeste takes a sip of her coffee then leans back in her chair, bites her lips and nods "My father always told me that as long as I did what I loved, he didn't care what I did" Celeste shrugs "I love books and always loved the idea of owning a business so..." She smiles "Future book store it is"

he smiles too "you and your dad sound close. i never even met mine" he shrugs again "doesnt matter though. my foster parents are good enough"

Celeste nods, "Yeah, it's only me, my father, and my mother." She tilts her head in curiosity, "May I ask what happened with your real parents or...?"

"its fine" he says "i dont know what happened to them. no one does. i dont even know who they are" he clears his throat and takes a drink of coffee "anyway.. before i make everyone depressed with my lack-of-parents, tell me more about yourself. where are you thinking of having your little bookstore?"

Celeste blushes, "I actually don't know". She giggles, "I haven't really thought of that part." She smiles shyly.

he returns the smile and stretches in his chair, his t shirt riding up slightly to show his abs (hehehehehe) "well" he says "maybe we could go for a walk or something some time? take a look at possible book-cafe locations?" he looks back down at the table, realizing how lame that sounds. (sry that was super cringey)

Celeste's eyes stray to where his shirt rides up, and she blushes furiously. "S-sure that would be nice." She bites her lip and tries to look away

he grins, showing a dimple on his left cheek. (had to somehow make him even cuter...) "okay then. its a date."

Celeste smiles and brushes her hair out of the way, blushing at his dimple "perfect..."

(dies internally cuz this would never happen to me irl)
Max stares at her for a second, once again taking in how gorgeous she is. black hair, ruby eyes, crimson lips... she was beautiful. it was a struggle, but he eventually tore his eyes from her and looked back into his coffee as if it held the secrets of the universe.

(right!!!)
Celeste blushes when she catches him staring "so..." her gaze lands on his lips before looking out the window

((*gets popcorn* better make this good, you have an audience))

he looks back up from his coffee "uh- so.." his eyes stray to her pile of books "what kind of books do you like to read?" he said, looking for something to say.

Celeste's eyes sparkle "Romance!" she giggles "And fantasy, mystery, and sometimes thriller"

he laughs "wow. dont think ive ever seen someone get so excited over books before." (definitely didnt steal that line from Will Herondale.)

Celeste blushes, "For me, it's hard not to love them! What about you? Any interests that light you up?"

he shrugs and seems to think for a while. eventually he says "im okay at drawing. i like going to the gym" he thinks some more, then says "yeah, thats about it. sorry, i guess im more boring than i'd thought" he laughs.

Celeste smiles, "You're not boring!" she blushes "its cute"

he grins and looks down at the table, then back up at her. "pretty sure I already said this, but your cute too." (hehehe)

(sorry had to go do something but I'm back now)
Celeste blushes at his comment, bites her lips and hides her face in her hair "t-thanks"

(its okay i had to do smthn aswell lol. btw i might js randomly afk soon for like an hour.)
he shrugs "i was only telling the truth." he smiles slightly, then gently brushes her hair away from her face. "there. now i can see you better." (tell me that romance didnt knock ur socks off)

Max looks at the time. "its getting late, and the stores closing soon. mind if i walk you home? you know, so you dont have to carry all those books"

Celeste smiles and lets him take some of her books "What a gentleman~", she teases
