I've gone with Abide With Me (written c1847) because I have a wonderful memory of attending the F.A. Cup Final in 1972 (in the days when the Cup Final was a big deal) and to hear the Wembley crowd sing this was spine-tingling. As a bonus, "my" team, Leeds United defeated Arsenal 1-0.

Ye Jacobites By Name was written by Rabbie Burns c1791. I think this recording by The Corries was the 1971 concert at Edinburgh's Royal Lyceum Theatre. I was there; if you listen hard enough I'm sure you'll hear me singing.
