Andrew Gillsmith | 101 comments If you like a little light sci-fi/theological comedy, I just published Part 2 of my short story, The Venerable Wolfe.

It follows the story of an overly ambitious Advocatus Diabolus in a future Vatican as he tries to thwart the potential canonization of Gene Wolfe.

The final act includes a "trial" of sorts, involving Tolkien, Chesterton, and Teilhard de Chardin.

He is not very well known, but apart from his literary work, I heard the rumor that the writer Gene Wolfe was the inventor of the Pringles potato machine. Right now, I have socks with the Pringles logo on them. I promise, Mr. Gillsmith, that I will read your article about Gene Wolfe very soon. I hope he is lucky enough to be canonized, just like my beloved G.K. Chesterton and Fulton J. Sheen. The discussion we had about Our Lady of Artilects was extraordinary.

Fonch | 2474 comments I didn't mention it before, but it turns out that Pierre Teilhard de Chardin is one of Professor Manuel Alfonseca's favorite writers.
