This book was so amazing!! Definitely a perfect summer read

Finished it! It was a cute book, but it was an average romcom in my opinion

Oh I finished beach read yesterday, Im still gathering my thoughts. But overall I wasn’t blown away like I expected to be. It was a reread for me and it didn’t hit as when I first read it, but there were some aspects I really liked liked. I really liked Gus and January’s banter, and January’s dad plotline, and January and Gus both finding peace in their lives at the end, that was nice closure.

I've put this on my bday wishlist so I'm praying I get it 🙏

unpopular opinion: i feel like the title is kind of misleading…they barely go to the beach in the book and gus’s research into…cults(?) is a bit odd and scary. unless the title is meant to be contradictory, i don’t understand it. other than that, i really enjoyed the book and emily’s writing (of course). she always adds so much emotion to every sentence and there’s something so magical about it

i kinda agree lol, when i heard the title i was expecting something completely different from this-

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just finished :) I agree that the title is a bit misleading. It wasn’t really giving a huge summer vibe with all the culty stuff going on but I still enjoyed myself. It was cute and a quick read.
