Well, I liked the twist for who you were rooting for, but this wasn't my favorite book ever. I doubt I will continue this series, but it was an entertaining read.
I am a little angry about the ending(okay really angry), but this isn't the last book so maybe it will change. We will see.

The author keeps on throwing ideas but not using them fully. I get the feeling that she loves coming up with ideas but gets quickly bored with writing them. And then you get to her failure at the basic at foreshadowing. I mean she even started to brag about no one guessing the twist is like a professor bragging that everyone failed his class and she started to get worse with each of her books from here on out.
Just finished it for the first time! Next books on order. I do hope that the love interest changes, because I liked the other (don’t want to give spoilers). I was excited that I was somewhat right about who the big bad was. Now I just have to wait for the other books to arrive…
The last fifty pages or so were really confusing. There was so much information at once, I got pretty confused. However, the plot of the entire book was really good and did keep me interested the whole way through!
It was a little confusing at the end and the beginning but the plot had me entertained so I liked it. And I’m Team Grim…
ngl I'm not a huge fan of this book, so many people rave about how good it is, but I just don't get the hype. It was meh, I never really got attached to the characters so I didn't really care what happed to them I guess. This is just my personal opinion tho, if you liked it good for you :)
I loved this book. The last part blew my mind but I knew I never trusted that person!!! I’m also team Grim, but what he did was crazy…. I see myself running through the rest of this series. I love the world this author’s created.
I personally found her writing style a little basic and I did not enjoy the ending. I did enjoy some descriptions but i found the format hard to follow along with and I feel that the reader can get the same plotline with better quality and storyline from the Hunger Games and more books with the 'only one can win' plot point.
I knew (view spoiler). The love interest she "ended up with" is so weird to me... at no point did I ever get romantic feelings between those two lmao like excuse me when did that happen?? Especially on her side since we were constantly in her head
I swear for the ENTIRE book I thought the Sunling King looked like a middle aged man. I swear that dude has the soul of a retired old man yelling at the kids on his yard.

I did too, it was weird to have to re-imagine them!
