It's time for August's nominations. There is no theme for this month, and nominations are limited to two per person.

You are not required to nominate only novels, but can nominate non-fiction, poetry, plays and short stories.

Your nominations cannot have been read by the group in the past three years. You can check our bookshelf here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

You can nominate up to two works that are written by a woman and published before 1976. Please state whether or not you can lead the discussion.

Nominations will end on June 15th.

Nidhi Kumari | 133 comments I nominate
The Fawn by Magda Szabó.

And a novel in verse
Aurora Leigh by Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

I am using app so, I could not link the books.

Carol, She's so Novel ꧁꧂ | 613 comments The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë

I can lead if necessary but it might be better if it is led by a true fan of the book. :) I want to see what I have missed in the past.

Love Anne Bronte - more than Charlotte and lots more than Emily.

The only Brontë book I got through was Jane Eyre. But lots of my friends love Anne so I am more than willing to give her another try.

This is an exceptionally good month of nominations! Will be hard for people to make a choice I think.

I read The Tenant of Wildfell Hall last fall, so I probably wouldn't re-read it but might participate in the discussion to some degree.
