Yay, another list, I love it. Love Anthony and Demon Copperhead are both very good, I've enjoyed them a lot. I'm on the waiting list for My Friends, and I've heard good things about it, plus that you need tissues. Happy reading, I can't wait to hear more about the other books.

This book was gross. And sad. and also kind of funny?! lol
Basically, this is the story of the very beginning of Covid and how Asian Americans were talked to, treated and dealt with in NYC.

While this is very much a horror novel, this also had a blatant view/ social commentary on this topic and I really enjoyed it! Perfect for fall/ Halloween

This book. OMG. So cute. Heartwarming. Spicy (*fans self*). Hilarious. Sweet.

The book version of Sleepless in Seattle , but also with a side of vulnerablility and realness with some sad topics. I love how BK Borison writes both couples/ friends banter but can rip your heart out with some TRUTH.


“I don’t want to try. All I do is try. All day long, I’m trying and I’m so tired. Why can’t this be the one thing I don’t have to try at? Why can’t it be a thing that just…happens? I have yet to be blown away by a Mary Kubica but I like them fine. This one was a bit ridiculous at the end (like come on... you NEVER noticed ?!?!??!?!?!) #IYKYK but I thought the pacing was decent. So overall,. not a bad thriller for the beginning of spooky season.

I FLEW through this in 2 days, what a wild ride. This is a serial killer novel but told through the eyes of 3 of his victims, after they are already dead. Certain scenes made me SO uncomfortable (in a good way) and I thought this was so creepy.

Daphne received a piece of paper with a guy's name on it and a timeframe- 5 weeks, 3 months, 1 night- and realized it is the length of time she is in a relationship with this person. She doesn't know where they came from (& we dont either) but the notion of this is interesting to me. How much can you really know someone and how much effort are you willing to put in when you know the relationship has an.... expiration date? And what happens when she receives a note with a guy's name on it with NO date?

I loved this book but we warned- theres a twist that is emotional and the book takes a serious turn- its still romantic and great but grab some tissues. Just in case!

This was a buddy read with Lindsey- this was a bit of a slow burn as we follow desperate-out-of-work Olivia back to her hometown to write the last novel of her famous estranged father. However, when she arrives she realizes he doesn't want her help to write his final novel (as he is suffering from Lewy Body dementia) but he wants her to write a memoir on the night in 1975 when his two siblings were brutally murdered.

I do feel like that the ending was a good payoff but getting there took some time and could have been a bit better. But overall it was a good read!

I'm not familiar with Julie Clark. It sounds like an interesting premise
