Because we all fall off the gender binary, this is a place to talk about it, give advice, ect.

Thank you Greenkin for the idea!

If you're unsure whether or not you'd be in the way of danger (physical or emotional) don't come out

Nyx☆Semi-Hiatus☆~Was I loved;a lie?~{Dec 3rd ver.} (neeks_rory) | 84 comments So uh i've always felt like not a boy or a girl, but my parents don't understand what it means to feel like its fluid..Its just I know my parents are homophobic...but i have some family that would accept me but i'm scared to come out bc my parents might ask them questions...Just its confusing bc I don't know bc I came out to my mother a few years ago that i was asexual and she just said it was a phase... I don't know how,bc like i know i'm a genderfluid, demiromantic and i'm pretty sure i'm aroace though. I don't know anymore..its painful..bc like i'm sure but my parents remarks make me question shit...since they are christian..

Im so fucking sorry. Seems like a horrible dilemma. I think you should do what feels right. If it is telling a couple people you trust, start from there. I know it's so transgressive, but just start small if thats what you're comfortable with.
They don't have the right to know everything about you, especially if they don't support you <33

Come out to people that you KNOW won't tell your parents first

I keep giving this advice because it's so important. Safety comes first, if you are in an unsafe environment, don't come out, it's a bad idea, putting yourself in danger is not worth it. If being in the closet is making you struggle with mental health, find anonymous support groups (like this one) or call a hotline

I'm glad you are asking the question!! Don't worry there are lots of people like you out there, myself included.
I would say it's important to try out what works for you, before you have to deal with hate, and people not supporting you.
If you are not sure if you are genderfluid or not, take some time to reflect. Talk to other people that feel the same way as you.

My advice is also to come out to a few TRUSTED people. Someone you know won't tell others and someone your comfortable doing it to. Try to reflect on how that makes you feel. If you want to change your pronouns too, try to get the people to use them and consider how that makes you feel.
It's all about testing things out and taking things in your own pace. <33
Hope this helps!
