Have you tried scheduling a talk/meet & greet at bookstores or your local library. At our library, we hosted a local author fair that met with a bit of success. Maybe add in a drawing to win a copy of your book.Is your book on Goodreads? Ask your family and friends to review your book there. it might help a bit.
Hi James, My experience with promoting my book on Facebook was similar to yours. Didn't find it helpful at all.
Blessings,
Anne-Marie
I am a member of some Christian book groups and I have seen and found several books that I’ve read. People may not comment much but they see your book and may reach out to get it. It could be too that a lot of people are not interested with Facebook anymore. But there’s still a lot going on there I wouldn’t give it up completely.
I'm new to all this, haven't had much success yet, but I think it's all about building your brand. I think FB, or any social media, just helps build your brand. Some people get discovered overnight, others takes years. For me, I just want to get God's word out. If one person is helped, then that's success. I couldn't have written any of these books without Him, so I just leave it all in His hands. God is good!!
