The Knight and the Moth is amazing. There is one spicy scene, but you could see it coming if you don’t want to read it.

I recommend the powerless trilogy and the empyrean series (fourth wing).

If you are searching for a new obsession with fantasy, romance, and diverse characters, I would highly recommend reading books in Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse. It's basically a literary universe composed of a trilogy, two duologies, and a ton of standalone novels. You can read any of the series in any order (as they are fairly easy to get into) but I suggest starting with the first installment, Shadow and Bone. There is also a television show on Netflix of the same name if you are interested, and the fandom is great as well. I apologize for the rant, and happy reading!

a song to drown rivers is so criminally underrated (by ann liang) as well as this time its real.. like ann liang is such an amazing writer, definitely read some of her less popular books bcuz those are awesome 💐💐

OMG YESS!! i recently read a song to drown rivers and its sooo underrated. That ending broke my heart 😭 Ann liang deserves more recognition

I would recommend Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan. It's really good, and its a novel inspired by the Chinese myth of Chang'e the moon goddess. The story follows Chang'e's daughter, Xingyin, on her quest to free her mother. Even if you don't know Chinese mythology, the story is still really easy to follow. There is a bit of romance, but there's no spice. The main focus of the story is the adventure, so it's perfect for readers who don't want too much romance in their books. Xingyin is a strong, independant fmc, and I really love her. This is probably one of my favorite books, and I definitely think that more people should read it.

Hey sorry for not doing the BotM for august, and not being online on GoodReads. I went to India on July 7th and came back today on August 6th. I was gone for a month and did not have any electronics to respond immediately as I was busy. This summer was really busy and I hope the group would understand that. I will try to be more active for the rest of the year.
