forced proximity is one of my all-time favs!! so many books fit this: problematic summer romance, funny story, ACOTAR series, the serpent and the wings of night, wildfire, i could go on and on lol
I’m a sucker for a why choose. 🤭 I enjoyed Creedence, the Madison Kate series and currently the Bloodline series.
From what I read recently, I really enjoyed the emotional relationship between Nina and Matthias ( Six of Crows). They are stuck together for weeks in the Fjerdan wilderness, so it must be forced proximity :) They are also enemies to lovers.
This really made me think! I guess I am naturally drawn to "the chosen one"/"reluctant hero" and "the quest" mostly. I would like to get more into dystopian, I think. Personally, love stories are super hit-or-miss for me because I haven't really liked insta-love/love at first sight or forced proximity. I would be willing to give enemies to lovers more of a chance, but I really like a wholesome slowburn.
I love love love the Grumpy x Sunshine trope...i haven't read a lot of books with this trope but I have read Twisted love, Things we Never got Over, and Butcher and Blackbird, in this book it was a reverse Grumpy x Sunshine which I loved a lot ❤️
I also just finished the Unhoneymooners, and I think that was a Grumpy x Sunshine book, I personally really enjoyed this book
