Lara Silverman | 1 comments Hi Christian friends! I’m a 37-year-old former attorney—Stanford Law School, Class of 2012—whose life took a life-altering unexpected turn when a sudden, severe neurological illness ended my legal career one month after starting my dream job as a federal prosecutor. What followed was an eight-year journey through profound loss: the loss of my health (strictly bedridden for three years), my profession, and most recently, my husband—an engineering PhD, missionary, preacher, and youth group leader—who passed away last June after just one year of marriage.
Yet, even in the midst of this intense wilderness and tragedy, God has met me in the depths of grief with surprising joys, including unexpected marriage, music, and comedy. Though I still remain bedridden half of each day, the Lord called me to write a nonfiction memoir right after my husband died last June! I will be publishing the memoir in late July and so I literally just joined on goodreads, though it appears that 2012 me had already made an account! Anyway, looking forward to sharing my work here and supporting others' books too! To God be the glory!
