Maybe Dan Brown for excitement?
Or, one of my favs, The Shadow of the Wind mystery/almost-thriller.
For fantasy: American Gods, or a very sweet Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman?
Six of CrowsHouse of Hollow
Sorcery of Thorns
An Enchantment of Ravens
Vespertine
The bone houses
The Drowned Woods
The hearts we sold
Peaches and honey duology
oh my god gurl I wish I could help u but I've read ONE BOOK SINCE MARCH 😭😭 someone plz get me out of this slump
Hi, not trying to be that person that pitches their book all over the place, but I just published a book that's a very easy read (only 94k words) and is most definitely a page turner; especially if you're into SLEUTHS, FRAUDS and SERIAL KILLERS.Read the first few pages and you'll see.
Note: Although a few scenes get pretty dark, like the flashbacks from the victims' perspective, there's NO detailed death/gore/r*pe.

Bolt Voltage: Out of Sync — it’s a quick, visual read that blends comic panels, coloring pages, and a sci-fi fable about emotional awakening.
I like reccomendibg this one cuz it's pretty short and a utopian turn dystopia sort of read. it's called The Giver 🫶
a long petal of the sea , if anyone here wanna connect with me about books and reading free to add me thanks
If you're looking for a bigger read, I cannot recommend Kushiel's Dart enough. This is a phenomenal book with world building, well written characters with a lot depth and a beautifully written story. It is the first in a trilogy, but it's well worth it. If not in the mood right now, well worth adding to your TBR for later.
Hello, I also love to read. I read mysteries, thrillers, crime, and courtroom dramas. Also, biographies of unknown people. Some are so interesting. Here are the books I like. The Woods by Harlan Coben
The Husband Dean Knootz
Girl in the Walls, AJ. Gnuse
The Lost Girls of Willowbrook Ellen Marie Wiseman
I’m in a similar boat and red rising seems to be fast paced enough to have me intrigued. And when I say similar boat I’m “in the middle” of at least 10 books and have hard dnf’d another 4 or 5 in the last month or two.
If you need something right now that’ll suck you in. The Lies We Whisper by Sophia Zane. Prison psych unit, buried secrets, slow-burn chaos. I legit couldn’t stop reading. It’s emotional, twisty, and totally unhinged (in the best way)

I saw you were looking for thriller recommendations. If you enjoy a classic mystery-thriller, you might like The Solomon Archives. It’s in the style of classic Penguin paperbacks, blending historical intrigue, hidden secrets, and a touch of ritual mystery—somewhere between Conan Doyle and Dan Brown. It’s available on Kindle, and there’s a Kindle giveaway this weekend if you want to check it out: https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...I also have My Life Story, which is more of a literary novel exploring destiny, redemption, and the paths we take in life. That one’s also available on Kindle here: https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...

Assaulted Caramel by Amanda Flower is another cozy mystery and I am enjoying it. I read Peanut Butter Panic by her and really enjoyed it.
Also have been reading the Mr. Monk books, don't know if you ever saw the show. I just finished the second one and found it very funny.
I do not know what genres you specifically prefer, but I can recommend my historical romance book called 'A Scandalous Venture.' If you're looking for something in romance that is ;)
