Do we get any points if we have already read a book of the month? How does that work?

Oh, yes!

That’s what the SRB (special request book) prompt is for in the points system. If you’ve already read a BOTM and don’t want to reread it, you can add SRB to your logging and still get 250 pts. You only get as many SRBs as BOTMs you’ve read.

Hope this makes sense! I keep meaning to add an explanation to the point system, but it’ll have to wait until tomorrow when I’m on my computer

do dnf’s or novellas count for the points?

Dnf’s don’t, and I’d say a novella counts as long as it’s over 75 pages

Wait, so for the SRB- if I already read Caraval that means that’s an SRB book. Do I get an additional SRB? Or is it just 4 SRB per month? I’m kinda slow

smash or pass is like one person says someone's name (probably a fictional character) and if you like them (like crush wise) you say smash but if you don't say pass

so if I said

sop (that stands for smash or pass) Harry Potter

someone else would say 'smash' if they like him

I know it’s not officially added yet, but can I still give myself 100 points for reading an 886 page book? If not that’s still okay
