Lol! That made me recall a coworker who swore that she always cleaned naked.....

Cleaning the shower, ok, sure. I can see that maybe. Vacuuming the bedrooms? Not so much. For me anyway.

I always feel a little but of pressure when I recommend a book that I adore to other people, as tastes are different, and it may not be as beloved to someone that is not me. So, fingers crossed.

I happened upon this book when I was browsing Borders bookstore, and I decided to look at the end of the alphabet that day. Right next to Vonnegut, and his backlist that I hadn't read yet was this book. The title grabbed me, the blurb on the front by Christopher Moore grabbed me, and then reading the first couple of pages made me buy it. I have since bought a crap load of copies of this book, and gave them away.

With that being said, one of the best introductions to a character that I have read happens on page 23, where we are given a description of Tibor Tynee, and boy howdy does he sound like a winner.

I have to say that the graffiti that shows up near me does not make me want to respond to it. Perhaps if I could actually read it, but the letters are too stylized for my brain to decipher.

I pass graffiti and it doesn't make me want to respond either!

I was enjoying reading and thought I should put my laundry in the dryer, only to find that the washer had flooded the bathroom and the basement. That was not fun cleaning up! Ugh! I'm going to find something to eat before I go back to reading and wondering when I can get a plumber out here!

Well that sucks. I hope you can get a good plumber out soon!

There are lines in this book that just crack me up.

Not loving the narrator, so I switched back to the hard copy. I mean the characters are over the top idiots, but he is making them sound crazy. teehee

The narrator is not the best! Lol

There are a lot of lines in the book that are hilarious!

I had hoped to read this at the same time as you lovelies, but didn’t happen. Finally started. These people are weird but I am along for the ride.

My brain might explode though trying to do this and Ulysses at the same time 🤪

Think of this one as the light, silly palette cleanser between chapters of the brain melting but brilliant Ulysses.

Just enjoy the ride, and giggle a lot with the characters, at the characters, at the circumstances, at the college types that you recognize, etc.

I did enjoy this and it wouldn't of been something I would of ever picked up without your suggestion Jenny
