I struggle with eating too much and I hate it when I buy a chocolate bar(not the small one) or a packet of sweets and get through them in a day and then I feel like I shouldn’t eat anything else but my parents would notice and sometimes even if I eat a small amount after not eating for hours I feel sick and idk what to do

I feel like i either eat too much or too little. like most days I'll skip breakfast, eat a small lunch or just snack and then eat a little bit of dinner. other days I'll eat a lot and then think "Oh I shouldn't be eating this much" but I cant help myself. one time I almost passed out from not eating and now my parents force me to eat every meal even if im not hungry they say "at least eat something" but I dont wanna force myself to eat
yeah I get that too.. right now all I eat in a day is 2 slices of bread, a small dinner and some pretzels, but I can't stop because I'm so scared of gaining weight
I’ve been dealing with disordered eating for like 2 years now. And I’ve been to therapy for it but it’s just too easy to fall into old patterns and it’s mental exhausting. During that time I think I’ve actually lost hope in recovery and stopped putting in enough effort. It’s just the same cycles repeating themselves. My body has changed a lot. It’s hard to look back at pictures of myself from 2023. I’ve gained a lot of weight and lost a lot of confidence. And I’ve been struggling to lose the weight ever since.
It’s like all I think about these days tbh.
I get that, I have health problems and haven’t been able to exercise so I gained a bit of weight and I’ve been so self conscious about it even though I’m not overweight and lately i think about it so much and now I can barely eat and exercise more than I should
i've gained some weight in the past month or so (since I last weighed myself, which I hate doing) but every time I feel like I eat too much, I feel like I have to work out so I don't feel so bad about myself. but then I also don't have the motivation to work out and its just a bad cycle
Thank you so much for saying that <3 I honestly just… it’s hard and to be honest I’d rather be skinny than healthy
I have a problem of huge sensory issues when I eat. I can't try new foods without using a ton of energy due to how overwhelming it is. I struggle to eat meat because every bite is a different texture and it has gross bits like skin, bone, tendon, and fat. Trying to eat something I don't like makes me horribly nauseous. When I tried porkbelly for the first time, I threw up. My mom understands but my dad doesn't. He's constantly saying things like "Why can't you just eat it" or "It won't kill you to finish it even if you don't like it" he gets mad when I don't like new foods which makes trying them more stressful. I'm way underweight and I'm trying to gain some for medical reasons but it's hard when eating isn't enjoyable at all.
I’m in the hospital rn kind of for this and they keep giving me food but I’m such a picky eater I can’t eat it 😭 so I’m eating less than I was before I came here
