Janeylou | 2137 comments I read the prequel last week as only a short , so i know what this brotherhood orgaizatiin is .

Janeylou | 2137 comments Merry farmer was at the shimmer event last week ..still gutted i couldnt go

Janeylou | 2137 comments Daughters bday today so had family round but ive started this evening .

Historicals are not normally my favourite unless pnr / mystery

Janeylou | 2137 comments Looks like this will fit my weekly tasks for vampire ...thankfully, i find those tasks so hard

Janeylou | 2137 comments About 30 % in , nothing much of interest has happened yet . I do like both Joe & Alsitair though

Janeylou | 2137 comments Im struggling to see how these 2 get to be together .esp not with Matilda

Janeylou | 2137 comments Well this flew by ( cant believe over 300 pgs) . I enjoyed it , very easy to read but a bit miffed we didnt get an ending to the mystery , presume thats in the next book

I can't help comparing this to K J Charles' books, and it does feel more empty of plot, but I like all the characters so far.

It's interesting to see the experience of having a family member with dementia back in these times. It's such a heartbreaking disease.

Jessica S | 689 comments There was something missing for me, but I don't know if K.J. Charles and Cat Sebastian are just so good that no one can meet that regency romance standard.

I could read the rest of the series, but I could also stop here and not lose any sleep over it.

The brother was awful, but the story line with the dad was so heartwarming.

Janeylou | 2137 comments Ive never really got into Cat Sebastian and to be perfectly honest i probably wouldnt have read these if it wasnt for the letter J , im not a mad historical fan unless its pnr or a strong mystery ( the mystery in these doesnt seem to be the main focus) .
