I think he left her because he hadn't killed Trinity yet and as her "mirror" it wasn't time to take Josie. But then why did he crash her? I don't think he left her because of Noah. But I just don't know.
I thought he left her because of Noah. His plan was to take her because he warned her not to rub her eyes. He picked her up and started carrying her. When he heard Noah, he knew they could track the phone, which would bring the cops. I thought his hideout was close, and the cops would find it.
I was confused why he crashed her car as well. I believe it was so she could not follow him. It was not her time yet to be taken. He always has a plan and does not deviate from his own timetable.
Susan wrote: ". He always has a plan and does not deviate from his own timetable."Another good point Susan. I didn't focus on him having a plan or timetable."
He crashed her because he knew she recognized him and he her. His timetable was already a mess and he had to deviate. When Alex heard Noah’s voice, he had no idea how much time he had and getting up that ravine carrying Josie would take time. When he said, “Not yet,” it put her on notice that that was the plan. He was escaping.
